These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://decorpause.com/ (the “Site”), the home-decor blog Decor Pause (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By visiting or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. The Site

Decor Pause publishes original articles and related pages about home decor, interior styling, small spaces, and calm living interiors. The Site is provided for general information and reading. It is not an interior-design studio, architecture practice, construction firm, or online store.

We may display advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising does not mean we endorse the advertiser.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Site if you can form a binding contract under applicable law. The Site is a general-audience publication and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, you may not use the Site or send us personal information.

3. Acceptance of these Terms

Each visit to the Site is an acceptance of the Terms then posted. We may change these Terms as described in Section 11. If a change is material, we will update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the revised Terms.

4. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise noted, the text, headlines, structure, original photographs, graphics, and compilation of the Site are owned by Decor Pause or used under license. All rights are reserved.

You may:

  • Read the Site for personal, non-commercial use
  • Share a link to a page
  • Quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to the original URL

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • Copy, scrape, crawl, or systematically download articles or images to republish them, train models, build a competing site, or fill another publication
  • Reproduce our content in full or in substantial part
  • Remove credits, watermarks, or copyright notices
  • Frame the Site or present our pages as your own
  • Use our brand name, “Decor Pause,” or site design in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement

If you want to reuse an article or image, email hi@decorpause.com with the URL and the use you have in mind. Unauthorized scraping or republication is a breach of these Terms and may also violate copyright law.

5. User comments and submissions

If comments or other user submissions are enabled:

  • You are responsible for what you post. Do not post unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or spam content. Do not post personal information about other people, or material that infringes someone else's rights.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and moderate your comment on the Site.
  • We may refuse, edit, or remove any comment at our discretion, including comments that are off-topic, promotional, or abusive.
  • Commenting does not create a confidential relationship with us.

Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

6. Informational nature of decor content; no professional services

Articles, lists, photographs, and styling notes on the Site are informational only. They are not:

  • A contract for professional interior design
  • Architectural, structural, electrical, or plumbing advice
  • A warranty that a product, paint, fabric, or layout will suit your home, climate, or building rules
  • A substitute for a licensed designer, architect, contractor, or other professional

Homes differ. Lighting, building codes, landlord rules, fire safety, accessibility, and personal taste all matter. Before you paint, drill, rewire, move load-bearing items, or spend significant money, check the conditions of your own space and, where needed, get professional advice.

We may mention products, materials, or shops. Mentions are not an endorsement unless we say so, and they are not an offer to sell.

7. Third-party links, ads, and tools

The Site may contain links to other websites and may display third-party advertisements. We do not control those sites or ads and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of a third-party site is between you and that third party.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or overload the Site except for ordinary search-engine indexing that respects robots.txt
  • Use the Site to send spam or to collect emails
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when you contact us

We may block access or remove content if we believe these Terms have been broken.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the information on the Site is complete, current, or suitable for your situation.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DECOR PAUSE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR HOME-IMPROVEMENT COSTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. THE SITE IS FREE TO READ; you have not paid us a fee to access articles.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such a limit is not allowed.

11. Changes to the Site and to these Terms

We may change, pause, or stop any part of the Site at any time, including articles, comments, and advertising. We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version. You should review this page when you return. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Site, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or the security of the Site.

If a provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
